Off Ice Component
- Classroom sessions will focus on high performance culture and habits, film review and game breakdown, and other activities aimed at learning how to be a top-level ringette player
- Dryland sessions will focus on ringette-specific training along with the skills and tactics that will be worked on in the ice sessions
On Ice Component
- We will work on some of the key skills and tactics identified in Ringette Canada’s Athlete Development Matrix
- In accordance with Ringette Canada’s emphasis on developing 2-way players, athletes will not be divided according to their preferred position; rather, they will learn both skill sets:
- Defensive skills = what I’m doing when the other team has the ring
- Offensive skills = what I’m doing when my team has the ring
* Given the limited spots available, it is expected that registrants will equally prioritize the off ice and on ice components of the program. Since the sessions will be related each week, full attendance is crucial in order to get the most out of the experience.
